More About Thee Day

So we started the day off going to Kin.ko's to pick up our profiles and then hit the road for the 40 minute drive to Sherman Oaks. My mom went with me for the day and it was definitley nice to have baby's future Grandma along for the ride :)

We got to A.H. and got to finally meet our case worker face to face. She was such a joy! She gave me a big ol' hug like an old friend would do and just how happy she was to meet me and how excited she was for us! She made me feel so happy and again reminded me we were at the right place for us!

I gave her all our profiles and Greg made some banana nut bread the night before so me and mom brought it to the agency as an extra special treat!

Then we went to our favorite hole in the wall Ti.to's Ta.co's and had a wonderful lunch and we beat the rush!

Made a stop at BRU just to "look". It's funny, and definitley a generational thing but everything I registered for ( which to me is just the usual ) my mom was like " You don't need that, you don't need that, you don't need that." LOL It was actually funny. Yes I know I got bathed in the kitchen sink and slept in a laundry basket ( OK not really) but its just so funny how the times have changed. Also the concept of a BOB stroller that cost HOW MUCH was just unfathomable to my mom :) I love you Mom!

Then on the way home we saw this and I can't get the vision of the old man pacing back and forth along the side of the road out of my head...A quick reminder of how precious life is.

Made a stop at Tar.get and picked up an awesome pantry thing for more storage which we so desperatley needed. Our kitchen is mini...super mini. No storage, so getting this pantry ( even though it was made to be a plastic storage closet in a garage) seriously freed up so much space for us in the kitchen and now we have room for baby things, you know just in case we need it like next week or something. Organized the heck outta the kitchen with the help of my mom and I fully went into "nesting" mode...Oh man I hope this wait isn't long.

Tuesday finished up school, my last final today, then I am forced to wait til October to start my final class of my college career. Thankfully tomorrow will bring us to this beautiful home in rural Wisconsin

where we get to spend 8 wonderful days with my amazing in-laws. Our days are already filled with Brewer games, county fairs, a country concert, water parks at the Dells, and of course lots of time around the dinner table with family.

Life is good.

How exciting for you guys! By the way, we were stationed in Port Hueneme for 6 years, and lived in Oxnard and Ventura!

Sounds like a great day! I know how you feel with the whole registering thing. You wonder what you will need and so many people say "you dont need that" or you "DO" need that! Its confusing with all the stuff out there but I know you are enjoying every minute of your paper pregnancy!! so exciting.

Registering is fun! Now I can look back and say I really didn't need that and I realled NEEDED this instead. We took a lot of things back to the store but that was fine because I got to shop and not spend my money!

Have fun on your vacation!!!

We will also be in WI starting on Saturday. Wouldn't it be funny if we ran into each other? That's where I grew up! Have fun in the Dells. . .we decided to opt out this year since my parent's live about 1 hour and 20 minutes away and didn't feel like paying $600 for a three night stay when our kids are barely big enough to use anything. I have spent many a day at the water parks growing up. Have a wonderful time and imagine us being so close--for a few days! :0)
