Oh What a Day...a Saturday

What a crazy busy beautiful day we had! Starting Friday night I spent many hours getting ready for our Saturday garage sale! Going through mountains of things so many loving friends and family had donated. We decided to hold a garage sale to try and raise even a little bit of money to help with some of the adoption costs and we were so grateful at all the many MANY items donated by our family and friends.

Hubby was on Daddy duty so mommy could try to get things done as quickly as possible. After sorting and pricing I came home slept for 5 hours then got ready for what would hopefully be a profitable day! Where we held the garage sale is where we always have them. Tons of people and always a great turn out. Yesterday...not so much. I don't think we had 50 people the whole day. Maybe it was the cloudy weather or the economy...who knows. But we made a little bit of money and decided to call it a day. But my mom, dad, and step dad were a wonderful help and thank you guys so much for helping us out!

I headed home to get dressed in something besides p.j.'s and get Faith so daddy could get some sleep. Faith and I headed out to Papa's ( my dad Faith's Papa) company picnic so she could meet some new friends! It was a great time and she did so awesome! Drank her bottle, made some new little friends and ate a hot dog. Oh no wait that was me :)

After that we headed back to Grandma's house to re box everything that didn't sell and get ready to donate that to another fund raising garage sale. We stayed a while with Grandma, took a nap, watched some TV, ate pizza and had a wonderful time!

At last we came home, reunited as a family of three and drifted peacefully off to sleep with our new sleep routine which worked out pretty wonderfully for us all!

Today we are excited to spend a great day together! Not sure what we are going to do yet...pumpkin patch maybe , football definitely, but bottom line is were doing it together. As a family of three and my heart could not feel any more joy than it does right now.

And 2 bullet points

- Last night when me and Faith got home Daddy cleaned the whole house. I mean everything, laundry done, floors vacuumed, bath room cleaned, everything put away. I just about cried of joy as it had been stressing how much I needed to clean and get ready for the week. Thank you Daddy!

- My secret news isn't a huge thing I just wanted to tell my parent's first that the lines of communication between us and Faith's birth mother were opened. I really don't want to blog about it to much as its a personal and private relationship. But I can say it went beautifully, I love her birth mother more and more each day and just ask if you could please keep her in your prayers as her heart heals. Prayers for peace and comfort and prayers that she always knows how crazy love and adored Faith is by all in our family and no one more than her Mommy and Daddy.

Sounds like you guys all had such a great weekend with your family.
Your hubby is so sweet to clean the whole house while you were gone. So nice of him.
