Oh how I miss blogging! And so much has happened I have so much I want to write about but just haven’t had the time or energy to do so… But what better time than now to catch up!
OK so first of all Faith had her first plane ride! We went to Arizona to visit Hubby’s parents and had such a nice time! It was a good warm up trip for our May trip to Wisconsin for my B.I.L.’s wedding! I have to say this short trip made me more nervous about our longer trip but I also learned a lot! ( Which is another blog post in and of itself!)
So we left last Wednesday the 10th and Faith did really well on the plane ride over! It was definitely A LOT of things to bring but what can you do really! We brought he stroller, pack ‘n’ play and car seat plus a suit case but we did buy a lot of stuff there as well like diapers and formula.
But anyways Faith did really well on the plane ride although it was nap time so it was one stimulus after another just to get by on the hour flight ;/ We were very fortunate though the flight was not full so we had plenty of room for her car seat to be in the row with us!
Our trip was really nice though! We are so grateful so many people love Faith and want to see her and boy has she changed since they last saw her! Last time she was trying to roll over onto her tummy now she is crawling and pulling herself up!
So back to our trip. Hubby and I took a date night one night after we put Faith down and went to Sonics' and then wandered around Wal-Mart. Old aren’t we? ;)
Friday morning we went to the local swap meet which is awesome! Its a huge indoor swap meet and while I don’t think there are necessarily and good deals there its still a lot of fun to walk around and check everything out.
We also spent an afternoon at a community BBQ! It was actually really nice just hanging out in the sun eating some yummy pulled pork with coleslaw and Faith had her first popsicle! It was root beer flavor and as you can tell her loved it!
She also played a lot under the table to keep the sun off her. She enjoyed it though and probably had the best seat in the house! The rest of us baked in the sun.
Then on Saturday we went to a CUBS Spring Training game with Faith which was a lot of fun! She actually did really well and didn’t melt down until the bottom of the 8th inning so I consider that a success!
Also on Saturday Faith met Hubby’s Aunt and Uncle and some of his cousins. Faith was soooo tired but did really really well!
And I would love to tell you that Faith’s favorite part of the trip was seeing Grandma and Grandpa…But in all honesty it was probably seeing Sparkles…the dog. She was madly in love and obsessed with Sparkles. She would crawl right on over to her where ever she was and just want to touch her and Faith would laugh when Sparkles would lick her. I think Sparkles was just wishing Faith would go away :) but they both did a wonderful job accepting and loving one another.
And of course as much as we do love Sparkles we love our Grandma and Grandpa even more!
If I learned anything this trip its how much babies thrive on routine. Being so out of the norm for Faith was HARD! Sleeping was rough ( and we didn't even have a time change to deal with) naps were near impossible and everything in general was just so different and out of the norm for her. But all in all considering all things she did great. Its definitely a lot more work to travel with a 6 month old but she is so worth it and we are so blessed to have her as part of our family!
* Sorry for all the pictures and bad writing. If your still with me thanks ;) *

She's so beautiful!! And she really looks like y'all too. It's funny, but everyone says that my sister's adopted kids look like her & her husband too! :)
It looks like you had a great visit! I was wondering what are those little leg warmer things on her legs? Maybe to keep her knees from getting scratched when she crawls?
I enjoyed your post!
