Faith you are 8 months old!

Please tell me how this happened so fast! You are 2/3's of a year old! Its simply amazing how fast time has flown since you came into our lives!

We haven't been to the doctor in a while so we don't know exactly how much you weigh but its still somewhere around 17-18lbs. And we're not exactly sure how tall you are but its obvious how you are growing! You definitley feel heavier when we carry you around and your little feet are starting to hang off the end of your car seat! Its so funny to watch your little footie pajama's as you start bursting out of them because you are getting to big!

Don't know if we have mentioned this before but you have 2 teeth! you got your teeth around 6 months old and have yet to have any more come in. We thought this week you may be teething but who knows! I guess we will know for sure when we see those 2 little chompers coming thru!

You are an eating machine! You completely take after your mama there and you love your food! You drink around 30 oz a day in 8 oz increments. You love mostly all your baby food but I think you take an extra liking to apples and blueberries. All the food mama made you is close to being gone! I am so glad I did that for you Faith! It made me feel proud to do something like that for you! Now we are on the go so much that we do buy baby food as well buts it still nice to do both! Grandma lets your try lots of foods! Foods you technically shouldn't even be having but as long as it isn't a hazard to you or your health I think its ok. You love trying new things and you LOVE trying to drink out of cups!

Speaking of cups, you have learned to use a sippy cup! Mommy bought you a fancy sippy and you hate it, so I picked up the 99 cent one at Target and you took to it immediately! We usually just put water in there as we are not big fans of juice but sometimes some watered down juice is just fine.

You still wear a size 3 diaper and probaby will for a while to come since they go up to 28 lbs. You fit into a wide variety of clothes now. You still fit into a couple of your 3 month outfits but for the most part are wearing 6 month clothing. The 9 month clothes are still pretty big on you but depending on how much they shrink when we wash them you can wear some of them.

You are starting to stand on your own! Just for a couple seconds but it is still so exciting to watch you stand! Once you realize you are standing thougth without holding onto anything you quickly plop down on your booty and wait for your applause. As fast as you went from rolling to crawling you now have little desire to walk. You know you can crawl and your such a fast crawler you much prefer to just crawl as opposed to taking a step. But thats ok bug! We are in no hurry for you to walk!

You have become quite the little dancing queen. It used to be just a little bounce here and there but now you love rocking out to any music. Rather its on your toys, the radio or dada singing you just started shaking your booty and it makes mommy and daddy laugh everytime. It will never get old! When you get older Mommy definitley wants to encourage your dancing! Mommy has zero sense of rythem so we will definitley encourage you to continue being the little dancer you are!

Faith you are such an observer! You just stare at people, at everyone no matter where we go. For a while you were quick to smile at anyone now you must check them out and make sure mommy and daddy approve before flashing your big grin at them, but once you do, you've won them over :)

Your sleep seems to be really falling into place! You nap twice a day usually around 9am-10am for an hour then you nap again around 1pm-2pm for anywhere from 1-2 hours. ( This is all ona  good day of course which seem to be occuring more and more often) After you afternoon nap we can usually tell you would like another nap around 5pm but its very hard to let you nap then so as long as we get out and about you are a happy camper and then go to bed around 7pm. You then sleep until around 7am the next morning. Some nights you still wake for a couple ounces but last week you slept through the night for 12 hours 4 nights in a row!

Oh and your new trick is moochies ( kisses) you love just leaning in and openning your little mouth and giving nice wet moochies! Sometimes you do it random but sometimes you do it when we ask you too! We really think it is something that you are starting to understand and you love doing it because it gets your lots of kisses and hugs right back!

Faith we love you so much! We could write books about all the things we did and all the new things you are learning! You are our greatest joy and our hearts delight! We love you baby girl!
