Play Time with Daddy

Being a father is one of life's greatest gifts to a man in my opinion. I think men specifically (as well as women don't get me wrong here) sacrifice a lot. My husband use to be a workaholic but the day Faith was born that all changed. Those long nights he used to spend working late on a project were no longer. He always came home on time if not earlier. He gave up a lot of his own "man time" riding his bike, playing video games, whatever so that he could be the best father he could be to Faith.

Many days come and he will ask me if the two of them can spend time together. Just daddy daughter time and those moments honestly melt my heart. It is so obvious how in love Faith is with her daddy. Her face just lights up everytime she sees him. He can make her laugh like no one else can.

Everyone always told me how my love for my hubby would change as I watched him become a father. They could not have been more right. Even though our time in the hospital welcoming our daughter into the world was anything but typical I fell in love with him all over again the second I placed Faith in his arms. To see this man whom I love so deeply, instantly love HER so deeply was indescribable. No words could explain how I felt at that moment. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed.

Faith and her daddy have such a beautiful special relationship. She is one lucky girl to have a daddy who adores her so much! And I am lucky to be married to such an amazing man!

Speaking of great father's I too was blessed with an amazing dad. I have always been a daddy's girl and anyone that knows me knows my dad. If you don't well you probably don't know me all that well either. I have so many amazing memories with my dad. Dodger game ( including a 7th inning malt ice cream) Disneyland trips, our own Christmas for 2, and sporting events galore. Now not only is Faith making those memories with her Dad but also with her grandpa ( my dad)! We have already enjoyed numerous sporting events with many more memories to come I'm sure!

I am so thankful for wonderful men in my life. All around me I am surronded by amazing Godly men and I pray having that positive male influences around her will also help Faith to marry a wonderful amazing man of God one day. I love praying for her husband and thinking about him and her and the family they will one day create for themselves. And then I love reminding my husband that he will one day walk her down the aisle as she marries the man of her dreams to which he replies " Nope never no way not gonna do it" :)

Faith we pray that one day when God is ready He will send you an amazing wonderful man. A man like your father and grandfather. A man who will love you deeply and unconditionally, a man who will put you above all others on this earth, a man who will respect you and admire you. And most importantly a man who loves the Lord with all his heart.

And now some examples of play time with Daddy

If you don't want to watch any of the videos ( although they are all short and extra adorable so I highly recommend checking them out ;) at the very least watch this one. Its hilarious! Our little Faith GROWLS!

So cute! I know what you mean about those moments of watching your child with their daddy. Some of my favorite moments are these too...watching Jay and Shelby have a laugh off...he will laugh, then she laughs, back and forth, each laugh getting louder and longer. Or watching them cuddled up on the sofa together, both sleeping so peacefully.

God is good, my friend. And I bet he is already picking out the perfect husband for both of our girls.
