I love....

...my crock pot!

Right before Christmas I was in Wal-mart and decided I needed a crock pot! Actually Wal-Mart shoved said crock pot in my face by strategically placing it smack in the middle of the main aisle with a giant sign marked $14.95...Well shoot how could I not buy it at that point?!?

So my new BFF came home with me and sat in the box for a day or two until I decided we need try it out! My dad was in town so I needed to try something that wouldn't be an epic failure ( you know so he could see that his baby girl can actually cook...kinda) so my first attempt at the crock pot was pulled chicken. Hubby isn't a red meat eater so we basically did pulled pork substitute chicken and voila! Pulled chicken!

And guess what? It was DELICIOUS! ( Ask my Dad and Dad you better say it was :)

Afraid to try more we did a couple more nights of pulled chicken and recently I have tried a few more recipes including Chicken and Dumplings ( using 98% fat free cream of chicken) and Taco Soup ( using ground turkey instead of ground beef) and both were so delicious!

I know making dinner in a crock pot isn't that big of an accomplishment but none the less I am so proud just to be using the thing! I love that I can make things we all enjoy and there is always enough for leftovers the next day so I usually just need to cook every other night!

I am so excited to try lots more things as I have simply fallen in love with my crock pot!

And Faith simply loves it too!

The preparation...

and the result

I couldn't live without my crockpot in my house...well maybe I could live. But I wouldn't have delicious food to eat. I don't eat read meat so every thing we make in the crock pot is poultry.
I slow cook my chili all day, our fav is BBQ Pulled Chicken, We also do a pulled chicken taco style. We've done Pizza Casserole, Potato Soup, even homemade spaghetti sauce, Yummo!
If you're interested in recipes shoot me an email.
