A God Thing

Yesterday was certainly a God thing. In every sense of the meaning of perrfect timing perfect place, yesterday was it.

So yesterday was the day we were getting our little Ty cicumsized. Not really a fun or exciting day by any means but turned out to be an amazing morning.

It all started Tuesday actually after we left the doctors office I went to the hospital to do pre administration for Ty's little procedure. The lady in admitting told me how wonderful I looked for just having a baby so of course I got to share our miracle story with her! And here is where the miracle's start happening! She immiediatley asked me if we used *a**e *e*c* as our lawyer to which I told her we did! She told us how her daughter was considering adoption but just couldn't afford it and how they had struggled with infertility. I went on to share a lot of our story to Faith, our infertility journey and our newest miracle in Ty. She listened intently and said " I know this is unprofessional but can I get your number so my daughter can call you?" I of course told her yes and I hope that her daughter will call! I know this was a divine intervention for whatever reason we crossed paths that day and I am confident in someway rather heard or unheard of by me her daughter will be blessed from that meeting.

So anyways come to Friday

The morning started off wonderful as Faith's doctor who is in the same office as Ty's doctor called to say she got back from vacation to find out there was a new baby boy in our family! It was such a sweet phone call and I simply adore her and her genuine concern for her patients. It was something she simply did from the goodness of her heart to say congratulations and welcome back to California! Definitely a great start to the day!

I enter the hospital to find out they don't take our insurance BUT its actually cheaper paying out of pocket! So that was awesome! We went up to our little room and the nurse was just pure heaven sent. Her prescense and warmth was wonderful and she was actually a NICU nurse who was helping on the pediatric floor so she gave me some great tips about helping out little man be more comfortable in his car seat and just some advice. I just loved her and her true love for what she does. Sure it was a small common procedure but to a new mama like me it was a big deal and I am thankful she allowed me to have my feelings without making me feel dumb.

So fast forward procedure is over the doctor comes in goes over everything and they said we would need to hang out an hour or so just to check everything out and stuff and during that time the nurse came in to tell us that the hearing specialist was there and had noticed Ty as a patient who had't yet passed his hearing screening ( he failed twice on Monday and I was fairly heart broken and super worried) so she came in and said she could do it for us there so we wouldn't have to drive 100 miles to get it done again where he was born. She just had to call her supervisor to make sure it was all good and legal since he wasn't born at that hospital and I called the hearing supervisor where he was born and she was like "That's fine but its not gonna be covered under your insurance" to which the hearing specialist told her " This isn't about insurance or money, this is about the fact that I'm right here, I'm willing to do it and he needs it done so as long as its not breaking any rules why not? I'm not even gonna send it to insurance we can just get it in the system as pass or fail and move forward from there." Finally someone who wasn't worried about money or what insurance we had but common sense and love. She had to do a few other patients first but was so kind to keep up updated and honestly it was worth us waiting all day just to not have to make that drive.

Ty ready to go home after passing his hearing screening!
After barely a half hour of waiting she came in and our shared our negative expirience from the hearing lady at the hospital Ty was born at. She was super compassionate and really helpful explaining some of the reasons he may have possibly failed. Where as the other lady only said " I can't diagnose I'm not a doctor" so anyways Ty got his hearing test and she told me that legally the nurse had to tell us and the nurse came  back and said " He passed!" Praise you Lord! I just started crying. The kindness of these two women and the news that my son was in fact hearing just fine was enough to bring me to tears. They both hugged me and I thanked them about a zillion times before heading on our way!

It truly was the start to a perfect day!

I am so thankful for the way the Lord works. The lady I spoke with in admitting who had a daughter dealing with infertility wasn't a coincidence. The hearing lady and us being in the same place at the same time wasn't a coincidence either. It wasn't luck or a matter of chance...

It was a God thing.
