We all know having children isn't cheap. There's a million things that children need and I think with age they only get more expensive. Eventually they need cars, gas money, prom dresses, college tuition, wedding expenses and more. But did you ever think it could be so expensive to try having a baby? If you haven't experienced infertility, you have no idea. We are in Stage One of treatments. The lesser of all the options, the option that most lets nature take its course with little assistance and also the cheapest option. Yet when we got home from Wisconsin more doctor bills awaited us than I would care to mention. And I realized while our option wasn't the most expensive, it was still incredibly expensive. It made me wonder, would it be better to just jump to Stage Two? While it is more expensive, it also has better odds of conception. When doing the math would it be better to just do one or two more expensive options and get pregnant or do five to six "cheaper" options and get pregnant? Honestly I don't really know, and who knows how many times we will have to repeat the treatments. It's all so unknown, its all so confusing, and its all so expensive! I feel very torn today as tomorrow I need to get in to see Dr. Hubert. I will definitely ask him his opinion but more important I will ask HIM His opinion. The Lord knows where we should be and what we should be doing, so maybe instead of sitting here typing away in confusion I should sit and ask HIM what He wants us to do...
I'll let you know what we decide.
* The link on the word " expensive" is only an estimated cost. It is not the direct website of our doctor. Every clinic has their own pricing but that websites gives you a general idea just how much money we are talking about...PER MONTH!
