This week my husband Greg rocks because he took off today just to spend it with me! OK actually that's a lie. He took off today to see Lance Armstrong in the Amgen Tour of California BUT he also spent it with me! We woke up this morning and traveled an hour and a half away to the quaint town of Solvang to watch today's time trial in the race! We had a awesome day cheering riders as they flew past us and anxiously awaiting the start of Lance Armstrong! Yellow was definitely the color of the day and LIVE STRONG the motto of the day! We got to see Lance fly by us within about 2 feet! It was awesome! We then walked to the finish line and also got to see him finish! After the race was over we walked by Lance's team bus where he and 2 other cyclists were cooling down by riding on the stationary bike. Us along with many many others just starred at him riding a stationary bike. It felt much like watching a animal in a zoo. Pretty freaking cool and pretty freaking weird all at the same time! So we watched for a little and then headed home for the day! While getting stuck in rush hour traffic we had a wonderful chat about family and life in general! All in all we had a wonderful day and I am so glad Greg took the day off work to spend it with me ( OK OK to spend it with Lance I know!)
