OK so on the last post I mentioned Pre seed and Instead cups and got several email questions about them. Since most TTC'ers know what they are I actually just wanted to tell you about the most awesome, reusable, one time fee, ovulation predictor. It's called Ovulite. I don't know how many of you have heard of it and in fact the only place I believe you can buy it now is on Ebay or websites like that. So somehow I came across ovulite on a website and starting googling it every where. Some people loved it, some hated it so I thought why not? It's $20 bucks and I spend that every month on pregnancy tests and ovulation predictor kits anyways. This at least was reusable. So I bought it and gave it a go. Let me tell you ladies it is so awesome! It has saved me so much money its incredible! OK so what you do is first thing in the morning before you take a drink of coffee, brush your teeth or anything you use your finger to get a little bit of saliva from under your tongue. You put that saliva onto the little removable microscope ( without letting your finger touch the glass) and then you leave it and let it dry. Depending on how much saliva you got on there it could take anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Then you place it back on the Ovulite which basically is a little green light that illuminates your dried up saliva. You look at it under the tiny microscope and if you see randomness you are NOT ovulating. BUT if you see a fern like pattern you ARE ovulating. It is awesome! After you use it just use a Q-tip to clean the glass where your saliva is and dry and voila its ready to use for the next day or next cycle. It's no larger than a tube of lipstick and comes in a little blue pouch so you can take it anywhere and no one will really no what it is. Now some of you may be worrying , what do ferns look like? Trust me when you see them under the microscope you will know. Right before ovulation you may see a slight fern pattern but on the day of you will see ferns no doubt about it. During non ovulation time ( like CD 5 or something) your saliva will look like nothing under the microscope except little dots. I use it every day once my period has ended. While I Know I am 99% not going to ovulate before day 12 ( personally I am a late O'er) I like to know and make sure. And plus its a good lesson for knowing what to look for.
OK this is my review for the day:) I totally recommend it ladies , give it a try at least $20 bucks why not?
Oh yeah, I saw ferns today, first time ever I have seen ferns being unmedicated!!!!
Click here, here and here for different websites on Ovulite. Here are reviews you will see it has 3 out of 5 stars which isn't the best but it has ALWAYS worked perfectly for me. This is a picture of the fern pattern you will see during ovulation.

I tried it for a cycle and I liked it. It was pretty cool to see the changes. :)
Um, how cool is that! I going to have to give that a try. Thanks for all the research :)
Ooooh, ferns are good! I'm excited for you!

I actually forgot about this method of ovulation prediction! Cool. I guess maybe I should get this instead of buying another package of opk. My doc told me to quit using opk just because she thinks my O is predictable enough but she isnt the one doing the predicting each month. I like to know before I O thank you very much! I might have to check this thing out. Thanks!
I am so happy for you that you are going to start meeting with your pastor's wife. It is so helpful to have someone that is not in the situation and not trying to give you advice, but to listen and encourage you! I hope you get to meet with her soon and that you love her as much as I do "my" Mary:)
Haven't heard of this...thanks!! We're headed to IVF #2 so hopefully we won't need it, but good to know it's there!
I have used in the past and it certainly works on the cycles that I actually ovulate. It takes some practice to read, but I would recommend it.
