Usually I don't post randomness on this blog I try and keep it to IF related things but since this blog is more public than my personal family blog I wanted to post it here as well.
Pass the Word
I am so angry right now I wish my blog were like super famous to get the word out! But I recently purchased a camera through Stop and Shop Digital on April 10th. Everything was confirmed credit card went through. The camera was a great deal, hence me choosing that company. I had seen the company had good ratings in general so ahead with the purchase I went. A day or 2 later I receive and email that I need to " Call to confirm" my order. Immediately I felt shady business going on. So I called and they basically just tried to sell me a battery, a memory card, all of which I assured them I had and they said "Ok well your black camera will be sent out tomorrow". " Black?" I ordered red?" I said. " Oh well we won't have red for 3-4 months do you want to wait?" " No just send the black." Then I thought , was anyone ever going to tell me this or just send me whatever color they felt like and hope I was color blind. Anyways black red whatever I WANT MY CAMERA. So yesterday about 10 days after confirmation I get a email. " By the time our receiving department received your order it was out of stock. The order will arrive in 3-4 weeks." ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I PAID $20 FOR 30 DAY SHIPPING FOR NEW YORK! AND NOT ONLY THAT YOU JUST TOLD ME IT WOULD BE SHIPPED LIKE 9 DAYS AGO! I was livid! So I called the Customer Service to which after 18 minutes on hold... " How can I help you?" So I gave him the brief low down " Please hold" he interrupts...10 more minutes on hold..." That item will be in stock if 4-6 weeks." " OK then I need to cancel my order". " OK fine" he says " It's cancelled" I said you didn't even get my order number you don't even know what I ordered or what order I am cancelling. CLICK. Seriously I have steam shooting out of my ears right now!!!! I told them via email that if I remotely see a charge on that credit card I will take quick legal action (OK that's going far but apparently these people don't take me seriously) Oh yeah did I mention I emailed their company 4 times over the course of 2 weeks looking for answers and not ONCE received and email ?

They may look like a valid website but they are a crock
***UPDATE*** I called again because their website said you need a confirmation cancellation number. So I called and said " I need a cancellation number" " Whats your order number?" I answered" 98#@$^98" " OK thank you it's canceled" he said...I was like WAIT ! WHAT IS MY CANCELLATION NUMBER" It's in all caps because I said it loud and firm! To which he yelled back " IF YOU SHUTUP I'M GOING TO TELL YOU. Your cancellation number is 87%^&9" so I said " I suppose you don't have a name." CLICK hung up on twice in one day! Awesome! BUT plus side is I have all the documented evidence including a email saying my order was canceled and I will not be charged anything.
And I reported their butts to the Better Business Bureau.

WOW!! What a crappy company. Glad you reported them it sounds like they are horrible. At least you wont be paying for that camera. I would go to an actual store. Online shopping still freaks me out. Unless its OPKs and HPTs I buy those online all the time. lol.
