This week I have been thinking how much I wish my blog buddies were my real life friends. How I wish I could call Brooke to chat about our down day or B Mom to hear all about seeing her baby for the first time. But the best I can do for now is email and comment.
Then last week as I was blog browsing I discovered a woman who mentioned living in Santa Barbara California which is somewhat near myself and while she no longer lives there I thought it would be great if we all posted where we live. Not addresses of course or even to many specifics maybe just a county or an area and maybe we just might discover that we have a blog friend or two not so far away. I know we can check out states and other information on the profile but maybe by posting it we could meet a new friend who lives near by!
My idea is title the post " Where are YOU from?" tell a little about where your from, local attractions, how long you've lived there, whatever you might want to tell about the place you call home!
Then ask others to do the same! I only have about 35 followers and I know so many of you have in the 100's so if every one post maybe we could refer friends to one another! Maybe you have a blogger friend who lives close to me or visa versa!
Let's try it out and find a new friend! In a perfect world we could all meet in Hawaii for vacation once a year to meet up, tan, and hang out together but seeing that the world isn't that perfect let's try it out like this!
I'd also like to add that MckMama over at My Charming Kids had the most wonderful idea of MckCruise! Check it out here! It's like the above idea but in the Caribbean!!!! See you all there in January!

We prayed hard about doing in vitro and ended up choosing not to, giving our plans over to God's hands, and He directed us beautifully toward adoption. We started the process last July, were matched with our birthmother in September, and Ellie was born in December. We were thrilled the wait was so short! Shorter than pregnancy AND I didn't have to lose baby weight, deal with hormones, etc. =) She's a blessing. We have an open adoption with both of her birthparents who are in TX.
