Wait : verb
1) to remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens
2) to be available or in readiness
3) to look forward to eagerly
4) to continue as one is in expectation of
5)to be in readiness for;
You see everyone I am OK in waiting right now. Just because it appears to me that nothing is happening, every day SOMETHING IS HAPPENING. God is working on all the details of our baby right now, rather through the miracle of conception and preparing my body, or through the miracle of adoption and getting everything in line for the big day
BUT SOMETHING IS MOST DEFINITELY HAPPENING!
Waiting : to be in a state of response as until something expected happens
I am expecting a blessing, a miracle, in God's way and God's time
Waiting : to be available or in readiness
I am waiting and READY when God decides the time is right
Waiting : to look forward to eagerly
I am eagerly anticipating the future and all God has in store my hubby and I and our future family
Waiting: to continue as one is in expectation of
I am continuing to be expecting of God's love and blessings in my life
Waiting: to be in readiness for
Lord I am waiting and willing and ready!
So you see everyone waiting is a verb, an action that one does. I'm not feeling forgotten or mad or like nothing is happening because I am in a waiting place. Sure I'm ready for something to happen but God gives us a time of waiting for a reason and although I don't know that reason now doesn't mean God is making a mistake. He makes no mistakes and my waiting now is preparing me for the amazing future HE has planned for me.
Just because we don't have a baby yet or a full adoption plan doesn't mean I am feeling forgotten. Sure one always questions their decisions, that is life I guess, but right now is a time for waiting. So because we don't have a way right now doesn't mean God won't provide a way in the future. Just because doors aren't open to us right now doesn't mean they won't be opened to us later. Rather that be through adoption, I.V.F. or a miracle baby.
Stacy over at " In It's Time" wrote the most amazing post about waiting yesterday. Here are some quotes from it along with verses.
. Waiting is so stinkin' hard. We wait for something to start. We wait for something to end. We wait for something to change. We wait for waiting to end.
Waiting is a constant in life and yet we are no good at it. It takes trust and perseverance and time.
Clearly if there are so many references in Scripture about waiting, God means for us to wait.
We are told WHEN to wait. HOW to wait. In WHO to HOPE during our wait. We are not waiting for something. Ultimately we are all waiting for the Lord.
In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Psalm 5:3
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7
I wait for you, O Lord; you will answer, O Lord my God. Psalm 38:15
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. Psalm 130:5
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33:20-22
Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. Isaiah 26:8
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! Isaiah 30:18
I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." Lamentations 3:24
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:1-3
Waiting is not an accident. Waiting is not second best. Waiting is not what you do to pass time.
Waiting is the plan.
And we can choose to wait. Wait well. Wait with worry. Wait and wonder. Wait and whine. While many think that waiting requires that you do nothing, I would venture to say that waiting requires a lot of you: It requires you to seek the Lord. It requires you to strive to be patient. It requires you to meditate on truth. Waiting is a very active thing to do. If you are not actively waiting on the Lord then might I be so bold as to suggest that you are wasting your season of waiting?
Waiting is the hardest thing I have done in my 33 years of life. But with great faith I ask,
"Is the Lord's perfect plan not worth waiting for?" Because...
"Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him." Isaiah 64:4
We are at peace with our waiting. We know God has brought us to this place for a reason and in His own time that reason will be revealed. We find comfort and peace in His words:
"I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry." Psalm 40:1
Trust me today is a good day for me. I am full of faith, feeling blessed, and happily waiting on the Lord. All days aren't like this but today is and for that I will rejoice in my waiting.

I don't want to post any specifics on my blog!
While I was reading your post, I was thinking about the John Waller song, and there you had it at the end. I wrote many posts like that in the last few years. I listed tons of "waiting" verses, too. (Different blog) It helps to focus on what the Lord says about waiting. Thanks for sharing.
Your happiness and faithfulness shines through in this post! It really makes me step back and ask myself if I am ACTIVELY waiting on the Lord. Thanks for sharing!
Love this post. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for this post!
love this sweet post, and love that song choice. waiting only means you'll love that baby even MORE. God is preparing both of you. :)
Beautiful post. In my experience, God's best work is done in painful times of waiting. I know it's hard, but the payoff... oh, it's so worth it.
*hugs*
Thanks for stopping by to say hello!! I didn't win the lotto - I only had one number right on one ticket...I don't think that gets me anything! lol
Great post...very well written!
Wow what an amazing post just what I needed to read this morning, thanks again for sharing!
Hi,
I have been reading your blog for a few weeks. I struggled with infertitlity for 2 1/2 years but then was blessed with a daughter. It was a complete surprise, stopped all the fertility treatments and was pregnant 3 months later. Our daughter is 3 now and now we are looking into adoption. We feel our family isn't complete yet and really wanted two children. Anyway, I wanted to pass along two peices of info. I found that might be helpful to you. One is a licensed adoption facilitator in CA named Everlasting Adoptions. I recently spoke with them and they were wonderful, was super impressed. Their fees where the best I found so far. Also, Crisis Pregnancy Outreach in OK has great fees, I think only $5500. I will be praying for you. Continue to be hopeful, you never know what God has in store. On one of the adoption blogs I folllow, a women adopted two children then unexpectedly became pregnant with a baby girl. She struggled with infertility but now has 3 beautiful children!
Have a great weekend!!!
