We're Still Here

Sorry for the lack of blogging! I realized I missed blogging about so much this week! We had such a wonderful beautiful week and the busyness of life kept me from blogging. But blogging is important its an online diary of Faith and her life and the absolute love and adoration we have for her. Its about the daily things that make loving her so easy and make life so perfect! In fact I even received the sweetest comment from a wonderful friend of a friend whom I hope to get to know better and better in the coming years! From the little I know about her I know she is a wonderful mother, with a huge heart for the Lord and His goodness! Thank you "K" for reminding me to blog :)

So I'm back...a little behind but back.

This week was simple and awesome. We did a lot of nothing and had a great week! Monday Faith had her 2 vaccinations and really loved being close to Mommy that day but I didn't mind at all . She napped then hung out in the M.oby wrap for the rest of the night and it was such a perfect day! I actually blogged about it and never posted so ... I will re post it later this week :)

This week was spent preparing for the arrival of my in-laws. My mother in law and father in law were flying in to meet Faith! I was so incredibly excited to have her meet hubby's side of the family. Sometimes it makes my heart so sad that both our families can't live close but I know that's life so I really REALLY enjoy when people come to visit! Faith was so excited to meet her Grandma and Grandpa! Usually when we pick them up from the airport I swing by and they jump in the car but this time we got out to wait for them so they could see and hold Faith! Well somehow they must have walked right by us and after about 20 minutes of waiting I looked around and about 100 feet away I saw my father in law! So we walked over and got 1 picture of the first meeting with Grandpa!

Faith also sported her cutest little outfit with the cutest little bow! I so desperately need more bows for this child! She just looks beyond adorable in them! Isn't she the cutest???

We spent the rest of Friday getting acquainted with Faith's Grandma and Grandpa before going out to a yummy turkey dinner that night.

Faith slept like an angel this weekend and even had her longest sleep of 6 hours! We were so proud! As long as she is swaddled she is a happy camper!

Saturday we spent the day in Sol.vang. After a beautiful drive down we enjoyed a perfect day in the quaint little danish town. The day was beautiful,

the company wonderful,

and Faith had a great day! She just loved being in her mo.by wrap with mommy all day. First facing out

then later facing in!

Grandma and Grandpa even got her the most adorable little hat that she just loved and sported around the rest of the weekend!

And we even managed to get a family picture of the 3 of us!

After Sol.vang we went to my parents house for a "meal fit for kings" as my father in law said :) We had tri tip, mashed potatoes, chili beans, corn bread, french bread, grilled corn and home made carrot cake...Saying it was delicious is an understatement! It was so awesome down to every last bite! Faith loved getting spoiled by all her grandma's and grandpa's. I love when all our family is together too! It's such a special time because it happens so rarely!

Sunday me and Faith slept in while my in laws and hubby went to church. After that Faith, mommy and her grandma's went and bought her her first Christmas dress! Then we just came home to relax and have some dinner while spending more time with Grandpa and Grandma before their flight left on Monday. Monday morning before heading to the airport we took lots of pictures!

And then we took some MORE pictures! ( I got a new camera so I had lots of fun playing with special features)

And on a side note my M.I.L. made this beautiful quilt for Faith! It got lost in the mail and by a miracle of God made it to our home the day before my in laws were due to arrive.

And look who is starting to laugh!

Faith has been smiling lots for a while now but now she is starting to laugh! My mom makes her laugh when she eats her toes! I make her laugh when I snort like a piggy and Daddy makes her laugh when he sings to her!

And on a side note our dear friend recently emailed me and said:

"Remind yourself over and over that you are doing the most important job on the face of the earth -- nurturing and raising another human being to the glory of God. The goal of your entire life, as a daughter, wife and mother, is to one day hear your Lord declare: "Well done, good and faithful servant." Not many like to be referred to as servants, but God's promises as we honor His Word, make it all worthwhile."

Which gives me a whole new blog post for tomorrow...

*** P.S. Can anyone help me with a new lay out for free...I Just want like 3 columns and a cute header nothing elaborate***

These are the pictures I've been waiting to see! Can't you just see the love and adoration and wonder on Mom and Dad's face? I'm so glad you had a great time, and sorry the rest of us haven't been able to make it out -- esp. when I heard about supper at your Mom's house. That sounds good! :)

Aw, it looks like you had a great week! Faith is such a cutie pie!

For the layout, have you tried the Web site for "cutes blog on the block"? They are free and they have a wide variety of layouts to choose from.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

As far as the layout goes. I can't help you with a free one but Kelly over at 2 kids a mini van and a lot of love (her link is on my blog). She does them for $20.00. She's good too. And trustworthy. You might check her out if you can't figure out how to make one yourself.
