Last year around this time we had just started our "Journey to a Wonderful Baby". This blog was fairly new and my heart was still full of hope for our upcoming journey to conceiving a child. I was full of excitement and thanks for the things God was going to be doing in our life. Sadly my hope and anticipation for a wonderful future quickly dissolved. My heart had so many sad moments and I had no idea of all the mountains and valleys to come in the following year. From the valleys of never ending negative pregnancy test to the mountains of receiving a phone call that we had been chosen to be Faith's parents. Such is life I guess. The ups and downs the good and bads but I can now look back and say what a ride. What a beautiful ride to our beautiful daughter. My life has always been incredibly blessed and I have always had so much to be thankful for yet this year is extra special. In February-March when we got yet another negative pregnancy test I knew we would most likely be experiencing yet another holiday season childless. My heart ached so bad. Little did I know Faith was around 6 weeks growing in her birth mothers tummy. My heart yearned for her back then and prayed for her daily. And today she is in my arms, in her " 1st Thanksgiving" onesie, smiling up at her Mommy and Daddy.God is so good and He is ALWAYS faithful.
And yet today as thankful and blessed as we are we pray for Faith's birth mother who is most likely experiencing very opposite emotions today. We think about her daily as well and pray for her constantly. She is such a beautiful special woman to us and we will always be incredibly thankful and grateful for the beautiful gift she has given to us. We are thankful for her and her love of Faith as well. And we pray that her heart can feel peace this holiday season and always know how absolutely amazing she is and how deeply Faith is loved.
So customary for the day a list of some of the things I am thankful for this year! In no particular order...
1) My new little family. My hubby and Faith. 2 of the most important and beautiful people in my life.
2) My parents and family near and far
3) My friends specifically those closest to me who are like family
4) Being a stay at home mommy. I am so grateful hubby allows me to stay at home and care for Faith.
5) Health for my family and Faith
6) Birth mothers every where
7) A wonderful place to call home
8) Living in a place with beautiful weather year round
9) A great big family to spend thanksgiving with
10) Having been CHOSEN. Not just by Faith's birth mother but by our Heavenly Father as well
Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever

I am so happy for you three everytime I open your blog page. I cant believe how fast Faith is changing as well. She is growing like crazy and gets more perfect by the day. I so appreciate your comments on my blog. I use to get allot of comments before I was pg and now I am lucky to get 2 or 3. I know why but it still makes me miss my old IF group and how they use to cheer me on every step of the way. I know you are a great Mom. I can tell ;)
