3 Months Old ( December 4th 2009)

Faith today you are 3 months old!

You weigh around 12-13 lbs but we don't know for sure because you had no doctor appointments this month!

You are approx 23 inches tall

At your last doctor appointment you got your final 2 vaccinations for your 2 month appointment. You did really wonderful and a bottle always seems to ease whatever pain you may have. We went in sat in the waiting room while you ate and you seemed to have charmed the socks off a darling little 5 year old boy :)

You eat like crazy! We often think " She can't be hungry AGAIN" and you always are! You are such a great eater and we are so happy to have a formula that your precious little tummy agrees with!

You wear size 2 diapers which thanks to our diaper raffle at the baby shower you have plenty of! Mommy and Daddy have yet to buy you diapers!

You have fully outgrown your newborn clothes and are comfortably fitting into your 3 month clothing! You haven't worn the same thing twice you have so many clothes!

This month you discovered your hands and your mouth! Everything goes in your mouth or at least you try to get everything in your mouth! Your first reaction when you see something new and try to grasp it is to open your mouth and try to put it in!

You are always smiling! You love when daddy sings to you and makes funny sounds. Standing up like a big girl makes you smile with pride and you always smile at others which just melts their heart like it does mine! You are also laughing so much. The silliest things make you laugh and there isn't a better sound in the world than your sweet little laughter!

Magically this week you have slept through the night!!! Well babies definition of the night at least but we will take it! You have been consistently sleeping around 6 hours ( although we won't tell anyone about last night) and we are so proud of you!

Your bedtime routine consist of a nice warm bath, a nice massage by mommy, p.j.'s then some quiet time laying on the floor with mommy, then a full bottle and your slip peacefully off to dream land! You seem to be sleeping from around 9pm-3am take a bottle from daddy then sleep until around 6:30am when mommy wakes up and starts the day with you!

This month you met your other set of grandparents! They just fell in love with you like we knew they would and you loved them the same. We took your longest car ride to date while they were here and you did pretty well if I do say so myself!

You also celebrated your first Thanksgiving. You had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole...oh no wait that was mommy! Actually you slept through the feast and woke up happy as a clam giving lots of smiles to everyone!

We love you and these 3 months have filled our hearts with more love and joy than we could have ever dreamed!

Happy 3 months sweet babe!!
Reading your posts always brings tears to my eyes. No matter what they are about, the joy of adoption is so clear in each post. It makes me so excited to get the process started. I look at your sweet little babe and can't help but wonder what our sweet little babe will look like,or is it born yet?? Makes me soo excited to be apart of this world! I am so happy for you and your hubby! I can see the love and joy that she has brought to your family! It is a beautiful picture of what God calls us to do!! :)

You're going to love this post someday. I wrote a couple like this (in baby books, the old-fashioned technology!)for the older boys, and looking back, it's amazing how much of that everyday stuff you forget. That's the kind of stuff that, months and years later, really takes you back.

The part of your post that most stood out to me? Size 2 diapers! After looking at Size 6 for so long, Size 2 seems incredibly small! :)
