Keeping Up

I want to blog every day. In fact I usually do. I rough draft blog and then it stays in my " drafts" and never gets finished! I literally think I am going to assign Faith's morning naps to my blogging time specially after my class is finished!

So our week in review ( if I can even remember!) with lots of pictures and videos so hang in there with me and next week I won't blog a whole week into one post :)

Monday we spent some time at Grandma's house hanging out by her tree, looking at Christmas ornaments and eating candy canes ( not real of course!) We also spent some time on Grandpa Don's computer watching some Baby Ei.nsteins ( which Faith LOVES) and drooling on his laptop!

Eating her candy cane

If you click on the picture you can see her drool going on the computer. Too funny!

Since this week had been cold and rainy I decided to set up Faith's new favorite toy her jumperoo! I know I know you are thinking she is to young for it but she can 1000% hold up her own head and she loves it! Right now she can handle about 10 minutes before she is over it but I can tell how much she will LOVE it when her feet can actually reach the floor!

Speaking of feet, they are her other new favorite toy! She just sees them moving and stares at them and tries to catch them it is hilarious and oh so cute!

She is also consistently sleeping through the night! I mean like super sleeper baby has arrived! She goes down between 8-9pm wakes around 3-4am for bottle then goes right back down til around 7am!

Grandma Pat and Grandpa Al sent Faith this cute little bib! Looks like Mama got what she wanted :)

Wednesday we went down to our agency so Faith could meet all the wonderful people that helped bring her to us! It was so great! I finally met the SW we had been working with and everyone came out to love on her! She was such a little ham giving so many smiles and laughing and giggling at everyone! It was such a wonderful piece to add to our adoption puzzle!

Thursday we spent some time with Auntie Tarah and Faith just loved hanging with the girls! She did so wonderful and I am so proud to have such a happy adapatable little girl! She literally hung out with us while we chatted away. She loved being part of the big girl conversation and definitley loved throwing in her 2 cents!

Also this week I discovered the joy of hot rollers...Seriously I'm in love

Friday was our first night away from Faith! Please don't judge! I know she is only 3 months old but hubby's work party went all out so we took advantage of the opportunity! They had a HUGE ballroom extravaganza and offered everyone a free night in the hotel.

Let me tell you it was so hard to leave her! So hard! BUT that being said I know it is good for her too! She was with my mom so she was obviously in the best hands possible ( my mom told me she loved Faith more than me so if that doesn't show that she was in good hands I don't know what does :) And its good for her to be socialable and around different people. I think we are raising her in a great way. She is obviously with me 24/7 and I know she loves me and knows I am Mama. But I want her to be adjustable and adaptable as life isn't always the exact same. So its good for her to be around other people, holding her and loving her too. And honestly its paying off. She is so happy with everyone! All my family and friends just adore her and Faith adores them right back and I think it has a lot to do with how we are raising her. She loves us, she needs us, but she also feels comfortable when we walk away for 10 seconds. I don't know if all this is making sense so I will move on :)

So while Faith was having the best time at Grandma's house me and hubby also had a wonderful time at the work party! The theme was Old Hollywood and everyone went all out! Mobster style hats, big boas, everything! It was such a beautiful night and the secretary who put everything together did a wonderful job! Every last detail was themed and we had a wonderful night! His boss even gave every one an Ipod Touch! I can't wait to start using it!

My Hollywood Glam look

We bowed out early and went to bed to get a full nights rest!

The next morning we picked up Faith and had pancakes at my moms. Then the girls went shopping and we had planned on a carnival later that day but it was canceled due to rain.

And here we are today!

Gosh I hope your still with me this was a long post!

OK happy Sunday to all!

That, my friends, is an inadequate use of a free hotel room. How old are you?!?!

Good for you for taking the opportunity to have a night alone with your husband...there is nothing wrong with that!! Parenting is a tough job and letting others care for the baby while you have a night off with hubby is HEALTHY!!

I can imagine the difficulty of leaving Faith for 1 night. I'm looking to leave kaua for 1 day next week while we fly back to move our stuff out of our home, and I'm soooooooooooo not looking forward to that!!!

The best thing you can give your daughter is a healthy marriage, so good for you for enjoying time together! And yay for such a good sleeper! How lucky for you. My son was a pretty good sleeper, too, and it is such a blessing.
