The amount of joy my heart is filled with this Christmas season is indescribable. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be a mother this year for the holidays. And yet here I am with a full heart and full arms. But Faith's bir.th m.other is never far from my mind. In fact I think of her well over a hundred times a day. I know as I am celebrating the joy of this season, this season most likely brings her extra heartache.
So this week, the week before Christmas I celebrate her and the wonderful gift she is to our family. We love and adore her more than words can say
Once there were two women who never knew each other.
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother.
Two different lives shaped to make you one.
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun.
The first gave you a need for love. The second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality. The other gave you a name.
One gave you a talent. The other gave you aim.
One gave you emotions. The other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile. The other dried your tears.
One sought for you a home that she could not provide.
The other prayed for a child and her hope was not denied.
the age-old question unanswered through the years.
Heredity or environment, which are you a product of?
Neither, my darling. Neither. Just two different kinds of Love.

What a sweet poem! I'm so excited for you to be spending this Christmas as a mother!
That is exactly how I feel. I never dreamed that this year, I would have a baby before the holidays. And I, too, think of The Boy's mother often, wondering how she is.
Sharing in the unexpected joy,
Allie
