First Cold, Seminars and Graduation

What's new I'm behind on blogging :)

We had such a wonderful wonderful weekend I was so sad to see it end!

Well sadly ( and this isn't part of the wonderful weekend) but Friday morning Faith woke up sick. Thankfully it was just a really bad cold but that certainly didn't help this mama feel any better about it. I took her to the doctor anyways so they could again tell me that it was a cold ( no fever ever) so that made me feel somewhat better and she gave us the clearing to go to the adoption Seminar Saturday morning and my graduation from college later that day.

So my amazing hubby let me get a full nights sleep on Friday night then Saturday morning the three of us plus my mom and dad headed to LA to speak at our adoption seminar. They had asked us if we would like to come tell our story and I was so happy because at our first meeting when the adoptive couple spoke I told hubby " I want to be them one day speaking at the meeting!" I was super nervous going there because I hate speaking in front of people but honestly it was so easy! It was like talking to a room full of friends who just wanted to know about your story because they were going through the same thing!

I think me and hubby did really great honestly. I saw lots of head nodding as we tried to address real issues people have. Is my house big enough, my car nice enough, would someone really pick me? All these questions we talked about how they are normal feeling and how we felt them too! And look where we are now!

I hope they ask us to speak again at future seminars as we had such a wonderful time and really hope we were able to help some people! ( No pictures sorry :(

After that we headed a little further south to my graduation! I was so excited as I have waited 7 long years to graduate college and I am so glad I did! It is like having a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! I really wasn't going to walk the line either because I felt like its something I should have done years ago but I am really glad I did! It gave me a great sense of accomplishment and actually inspired me to get my masters! Not necessarily this second because this second my heart is so full being a full time mommy to Faith and I want nothing to take away from that. But one day its definitely something I want to do!

It was so wonderful having my little family there and while it was an incredibly long day it was all worth it in the end!

Also if your wondering Faith did wonderful! She still had her sniffles but she was totally fine and such a trooper. This baby was made to be on the go so she definitely had no problems being gone all day!

That was our weekend. Yesterday we gave Daddy some man time because he has spent the last 2 nights staying up with Faith. She hardly slept she was so uncomfortable from being sick so Daddy had a much deserved break! So me and Faith went to the park and then to my moms for some tacos!

It was a wonderful weekend indeed! How was your weekend???

Now some pictures...They actually aren't all of Faith there are lots of me. LOL sorry I know she is much cuter but your stuck with me today :)

Congrats on graduating!! It's an amazing feeling when something you work so hard for is finally over. Best of luck and success to you and your family.

What I do when my little guy gets a cold is to put Vicks on him. I put Vicks on his chest, back and the bottom of his feet and put socks on. About a week later he's do much better.
Try it. Hope Faith gets better so you and daddy gets some sleep soon.

From one of those head nodders in the audience, you 2 did an incredible job at the seminar!! Although I have to say I think Faith stole the show on a few occasions. (-; Thanks for sharing your story...it was really helpful for both me and my husband. I'm so glad we were able to meet too!

Congrats on the graduation! Very well done and great pictures to capture it all.
