Miami Florida

So as mentioned before my mom and I went to Miami a few weeks ago! As crazy as it was having 5 adults ( sometimes more) 2 babies ( sometimes more) and 2 elementary aged kids ( sometimes more) all in the same household we had a wonderful time!

To me the best part was just being there with Faith. In 2009 between all my couins there were 6 babies born! I have to say when the year started and one after another was expecting the little green eyed monster in me came out. I was happy for them but just couldn't understand why God wasn't allowing me to get pregnant. Well now I know all along he had this little beauty waiting for me!

Being there with Faith and the other babies was just so complete and so whole. All of us who just 3 years ago when we last all gathered for a wedding now all mommies and daddies and our parents now all grandparents...It was a really amazing moment for me to realize that even though I didn't get pregnant I was just like the rest of my cousins, a mother who loves her child more than anything!

We did lots of things! We did lots of hanging out and relaxing, we swam almost every day, we had BBQ's galore and enjoyed spending time with one another.

I was originally born in Florida and my mom has 10 brothers and sisters ( 1 of whom has passed) and they all have children of their own so there are well over 20 cousins...some of them are in the Dallas area but a majority of them are in South Florida so every so many years we try to make it out there for a visit.

So now a little more detail with some pictures!

Well we started off meeting some cousins including our cousin J! Faith would not stop giving kises to J it was so cute! These two were so silly together the whole time! Faith would just follow J wherever he went and he did a pretty good job putting up with her :)

Then our little cousin Na-na came over too! Na-na was born 3 days before Faith and J is only 3 months older than the 2 girls! They had a lot of fun playing together and N is quite the little chatter box! Her and Faith made a deal that Faith would teach her to walk if N would teach Faith to talk!

The next day we just hung out for a little bit

Faith didn't sleep to well in Miami. In fact she slept horribley it was just like when she was a new born up every couple hours! It was so hard so you will notice she looks tired in a good majority of the pictures!

At the pool Faith kept trying to kiss Na-na. As you can see from the look on Na-na's face she wasn't feeling it :)

On another day we went to the Miami Seaquarium. It was soooo hot and humid. I can't even explain how insane it was but we made the best of it, did our best to keep cool and we had a great time!

Watched a couple shows ( while digging in Mama's purse with J)

And Faith fell alseep in my arms during the Killer whale show and even stayed asleep when I laid her in the stroller.

And we did our best to keep cool by standing in the misters and getting wet!

We also had about 3 BBQ's! All of which were incredibly yummy! At one we spent lots of time in the kiddie pool with J ...

and at the other we met one of our other cousins R! She was such a doll and just the sweetest little thing! She was the youngest of the group and she fell asleep in Uncle John's arms it was so precious!

We also went out to Chinese dinner one night with 3 aunts 3 cousins and grandma! These Grandma's decided to switch grand babies after meal time :) Don't worry each grandchild was returned to her original Grandma.

And on our last full day there Grandma's took the babies while my cousin Jodi and I along with our little cousin J got to spend an amazing day on a 36 foot boat! It was amazing! It was so beautiful, so relaxing and we had the best day!

I could have stayed out there the whole night it was so perfect! But all good things must come to end but we certainly enjoyed relaxing the day away...ahhhh the good life indeed!

My little cousin Jordan had a blast on the boat too! The captain brought his 2 sons which were exactly her age and they had a great time taking the little boat out and trying to catch fish with their net!

 All in all it was a wonderful trip! It was so amazing to meet the next generation of this crazy family and I will see ya'll in a couple years! Scratch that get your butts out here to visit me!
