July 2nd 2010 is a day my heart had always dreamed of. To sit inside a court room before a Judge surronded by family and friends with a beautiful baby girl in my arms...It was all so perfect and even better than I could have ever imagined it to be.
Faith was always ours. A member of our family from the moment we laid eyes on her. She was our daughter and it was love at first sight. In the same way any mama would love their little one I loved Faith so deeply the second we received the phone call we had been chosen to be her parents. It's an amazing, beautiful and perfect union of baby and parents, created by God and now we are officially and forever a family of three!
On July 2nd we entered our county courtroom surronded by a wonderful group of family and friends to make it all legal. We were so blessed that one of my childhood friends father is the family court judge in our county so he was the Judge for our ceremony and it was so awesome to have the whole courtroom just to ourselvs and feel so wonderful and so relaxed on this joyous day!
It was much more casual than I thought it would be and for that I was thankful. For whatever reason I was so nervous I just kept thinking something would stop it all. It just seemed to surreal to actually be living out my dream!
Judge C performed our ceremony and Faith did awesome. She read her book and ate her lollipop the whole time and was as happy as a clam! Judge C also made Grandma and Grandpa promise to pay for college so that was pretty nice :) She got to choose 2 little animals from the Judge and we even got to go on the Judge's bench for some pictures!
It was the perfect day and a day we will never forget!
We love you Faith and are so happy that you are now officially forever!
