One of our good " go to" places out here is our local mall. We often meet up with friends here and spend time in the play area with the kids, take a ride on the carousel and have lunch! Its a great place to go especially lately since it has been so cold!
Yesterday we had lots of errands to do in the morning so by the time we made it to the mall most of our friends were leaving but we still had a great time just Mommy and Faith!
But our day started off by signing up for Gymboree! I was so excited to find a great deal online where you get one month membership with no sign up fees and unlimited free play for only $40! So that was our first stop!
Next we went to check out a local gym. I have been wanting to join a gym for a while but the time was never right so I heard about this one and really enjoyed it! It is only $9 a month + $10 a month for unlimited childcare so I was incredibly happy with that! Its a very basic gym, no bells and whistles here but the main thing I needed in a gym was affordability and childcare! I left really happy and can't wait to start up next week!
After the gym we had some yummy yogurt
and then went to the mall!
Faith absolutely loves the carousel! You can't tell from this video ( she was very tired already) but she loves it and we always have to ride every time we go! She knows just how to hand her ticket to the guy and pick out her horse ... or as she calls its " horsh"
Then we spent some time in the kids zone before taking our first ride on the train! We never do the train because it is ridiculously over priced but they had a get one free so I thought we would give it a shot. It was OK we won't be doing it again anytime soon but Faith enjoyed the experience! I on the other hand was annoyed at the whole thing LOL the conductor liked her job far to much and blabbed the whole time about the zoo with bears ( Build a Bear) and Bubble Gum Mountain ( gum ball machines) call me a scrooge but it was too much ridiclulousness for this mama to handle! LOL!
After the train ride we walked around the mall a bit and spent some time playing on the little rides. Faith loves playing on them but the second you put in your quarters she wants off! Love that my girl enjoys some cheap entertainment :)
Afterwards we came home for a nice two and a half hour nap for us both and then were excited for Daddy to get home!
I am so glad the mall is only 3 miles from us and we can go there when it too hot and when its too cold and have a great time with our friends!

Sounds like a fun day. I never thought of going to the mall when the weather isnt park worthy. Although our mall is a good 25 minute drive :( Such a big girl riding the train.
after reading your descrip of the conductor and her tour, i laughed out loud when i saw the pic of her grinning ear to ear ;)
