Yesterday was Faith's 15th flight in 20 months.
Each and every time I fly with Faith I am soooo nervous! ! In general flying just brings out the nerves in me but then add on flying with a little one who is obviously unpredictable and quite squirmy and its enough to make me sick to my stomach!
LITERALLY!
LITERALLY!
Yet every single time my girl has impressed me beyond belief and somehow the child I can not get to sit still for 5 minutes at home sits in her car seat for 3 or more hours playing, singing, coloring and more. And I am so proud of my sweet girl!
Yesterday started off pretty good. Our flight from CA didn't leave til 1:50pm so we didn't have to wake up all early or anything so we got to sleep in til 9 then left for the airport around 10am. We stopped by my mom's work to give Grandma another bye bye kiss then we stopped at McDonald's at 10:26 just in time for breakfast, then headed to the airport.
Between myself and Faith we had 3 large suitcases, a BOB stroller, a lap top case, my back pack and a car seat! Thank goodness my dad was there to help us! With all our stuff we made it into the airport checked in and we were able to get my dad a security pass so he could come to the gate with us! That was a HUGE relief! Once we got to security their was a freeze of some sorts so we stood in the security line for at least 45 minutes before they finally cleared everything and we were able to crazily get through!
The airport as usual was CRAZY! At our TX airport I can let Faith walk and give her some freedom but yesterday in CA man was it insane! And Faith must of had some caffine when I was looking because minutes before we were to board our flight ( which was running about 20 minuts late due to the security stuff) she was crazy girl! Like running in circles around my dad screaming, totally happy but boy did that make me nervous before the flight!
Praise the Lord that once we got on board ( and a sarcastic thanks to everyone who watched me and didn't help the lady with a toddler 2 bags and a car seat on my head trying to make my way to the back of the plane!) Faith was wonderful! She did awesome the whole flight! We looked at Skymall to find all the doggies and kitties. We colored, played with the magna doodle, watched some Baby Einstein, sang silly songs and made silly faces.
I got Faith some silly glasses with a clown nose and they def brought out the smiles.

When we got off the plane and were getting ready to go down the elevator who do you think spotted Dada first? Yup Faith did! She looked down thru the glass and said " Dada dada dada" and she was right! There he was, so as we got off the elevator she greeted him with a giant hug and stayed with Dada the whole time while I got our suitcases!
As soon as we got home Faith was enamored with her Dada! I have to say I thought she would totally be stuck to me how she has been the last several months but nope! She immediatley asked Dada " Park? Park?" Then let Dada give her a bath while Mommy got a shower and snuggled with Dada before bed! I loved seeing how happy she was with him and it just made my heart melt today even as she kept asking for Dada!
So we are here! Back safe and sound in TX with the loves of my life...obvioulsy missing home already but just taking everything one day, one moment at a time...

you're so creative and fun with the glasses and nose- love those pics!!
Our girls are so spoiled flying so much.
So glad she did well with all the travel. What a great idea to get your dad a security pass to help. I'll have to remember to try that when I know I'll need the help.
lots of creative ideas to keep her busy! We have an upcoming long trip and that little doodle board looks like lots of fun!
