The time was coming to make the switch.
Sweet Tyson was sleeping just perfectly in his drawer but his rapid growing was making it harder and harder plus Winni was getting bigger and bigger and even though she had never tried to climb out of her crib I knew sooner than later it was time to transition beds.
We had two beds in Winni's room for about a week or so. I let her get used to the idea of a big girl bed and while there were a couple times she asked to sleep in it for the most part she was content in her crib. So on the night of December 25th we just went for it. We put the crib in Tyson's room and left only the big girl bed in Winni's room and crossed our fingers!
We are so happy to say the first night and every night ( and naptime ) since has been perfect! At the beginning Winni would say " No out mama?" and I would tell her " No out baby" and she has yet to get out of her bed!
I can't tell you how proud I was of Winni!
This is a little video I got of her the first morning in her big girl bed
And we can't forget Tyson sleeing so great in his crib like a big boy!
( no blanket or bumper comments please we also have a breathing monitor under his mattress)

And a funny little story about Tyson's bedding...right around the time Winni was 4 months old or so Traget was having a massive sale on crib bedding. They had bumpers for like 5 bucks sheets and skirts for 3 bucks so I bought Winni some new crib bedding and spare sheets and saw the cutest little simple blu bedding and I knew I had to have it " just in case" never fathoming at the time I would actually have a son one day! I always figured I'd list it on craigslist one day :) and now its set up in a beautiful crib in my son's bedroom!
God is so good!

This is awesome! I always love when a big transition that I have been dreading turns out to go perfectly! I love Tyson's face when you 2 were standing over him! Such a look of wonder! lol!
These videos just melted my heart. When Winni jumped out of bed to hug you was just about the sweetest thing ever. Boy are your kids blessed to call you Mama!! Love it!! And I also loved your "no bedding commets" made me laugh!!! Man, would I get repramaned for Cassidy's bedding. ;) she likes to sleep cozy and I would rather her limps not get broken hanging out of the side of the crib either thank you! ;) Haha!! You are a wonderful Mama who loves her babies!! I would never question you!!! And his bedding is soo sweet!! It's amazing watching the Lord work things out!!
We had blankets and the bumper in A's crib most of the time too :) Now, my little one sleeps on his belly because that is the only way he will sleep at.all. Swaddling is out of the question with him for longer than an hour or so. I completely understand with the bedding :)
You are so lucky! Transitioning my #1 son from crib to bed was HELL and involved hours and hours of me either laying at his bedside and/or sitting just outside the door to somewhat patiently return him to bed when he got out. Also, lots of tears. I'm so glad that's over!
