VBS 2012

On Monday my sweet little girl started her very first Vacation Bible School!

I was so excited for her and she was pretty excited too!

Because we just called it school she was a little confused why she didn't get to bring her backpack and her lunch so we had to do some re-explaining that it was bible school and not exactly regular school.

Winni did pretty good when I dropped her off it was all a little overwhelming because there was lots of kids there and I would guess she was one of the 3 youngest kids there if not thee youngest so it was a little overwhelming but she felt good so I left.

I sat in the back of the church for a little but when she saw me she wanted me and started to cry so then I left got in my car and shed some tears myself.

Tyson and I went home and its amazing what you can get done in 3 hours with just one kid and especially when that one still takes morning naps :)

My mom and I and Tyson went to pick  up Winni and I was a little bummed she wasn't crazy in love with VBS. She was fine and all but not my spirited little girl I love. When we met her leads for the week in her group I kinda knew it would be like that. While they were perfectly fine they didn't ooze with smiles and warmness that her preschool teacher does so I knew she would be OK but probably not in love.

She didn't talk about it much either when we got home so we just moved on.

This morning when she woke up and I told her we had school she wasn't to happy at all. She shed lots of tears and lots of " no thank you's" when I said we would be going to school. Made my heart so sad so I assured her I wouldn't leave her until she was ready for me too and I even let her wear one of mommy's special necklaces to school.

Winni did quite all right when we got there I was the last parent to leave and she kissed me and Tyson and seemed petty happy. I noticed the 3 other little girls in her class had known each other previously so I think my little girl may have felt a little left out so we did some chatting with the other girls and I think it may have helped.

I'm about to head out and get her and just hoping my little girl is full of life and spunk today because after all that is who she is! It lets me know she had a great time and hopefully she will be excited to go back tomorrow!
