I don't feel like we have a prayer team.
I know, I know this mind sound kinda selfish like I want people praying for us and this adoption process but the truth is I do and I don't know how to go about getting people to pray for us.
I mean really pray for us.
Not just saying " Praying for you" but really DOING IT!
You see not much of my family is religious. Some are but most aren't...and that scares me.
I know so many people who talk about making phone calls starting a prayer chain and I don't know who would be that prayer chain starter for us.
We go to church sure but we haven't really found a church family. We don't have a church leader we can go to, we just write down our prayer requests on Sundays and put them in the offering plate and hope someone is praying for us.
Can you please pray for us? I mean really pray for us...
I think blog world is my best hope for prayer warriors...is that sad ?
I want you all to know when I say I am praying for you I do. I stop right then and there and say a quick prayer and in my shower prayers I think of all the big ones that pop in my mind and pray for them again.
Prayer is powerful and I know if we can just have some help in the prayer department everything will feel alright...
By the way if you do feel compelled to pray for us and pray for specifics I am Heather my husband is Greg and we are starting the adoption process and right now need guidance in finding the right agency to sign with. That and we could always use some prayers for a miracle baby either through conception or adoption :)

I don't think turning to the blog world for prayers is sad at all!! I think it's amazing that this group of women is here supporting each other and praying for one another. I've been dealing with IF for over 3 years and I've felt the most understanding and encouragment has come from people I've never met.
I'm praying for you - not just saying it, I'm doing it!! :)
Heather, I love that you were specific on your prayer request and although I have had you on my personal prayer list for awhile, Im going to amend my list to include your specific request. I can tell you that through my journey, I have felt the prayers of my blog friends and its what has gotten me through the darkest of days.
Praying for you and Praising God every day!
Definitely praying for you sweetie! We're all here for you!!!
Definitely actively praying for you and thanking him in advance for your upcoming blessing!
Honey, I love the fact that all of us can come together and pray for each other. Kinda like you my dads side of the family isn't really religious, and as they say they are "praying" for us in my mind I often think "are they REALLY praying"...when I praying I can go on FOREVER- and sometimes I pray for the same thing many times a day, sometimes I wonder if others pray/talk to God like I do? I am REALLY praying for you sweetie!!!! REALLY, I promise! God is so amazing and he is with you!!!!
love-hugs and PRAYERS-
Tiff
I try and remember to pray for all my TTCer's as well as those who find themselves in the adoption process.
I like you do not have a religious family except for my father and myself. I don't think He is going to hold it against you because your family chooses not to be religious. What is going on in your life is between you and Him. Like I said my entire family extended and all isn't really religious and he's never held that against me. He has given me so many wonderful things...and now I'm just waiting for Him to help me complete my family. I know He will when my time is right. You'll get your chance to.
I know what you mean about the prayers though, I love that I have so many friends from my blog that pray for me. It feels nice to have a little extra help on your side. It's so funny and sweet to me that although you and I and many of my bloggy friends haven't met we are brought together by one strong common goal and that's to be a mother. I think it's wonderful the bond we all share together even as total strangers. I love watching each and every family grow even though somtimes it can be a bit bittersweet.
Know that I'm not perfect and somtimes I forget but I will do my best to pray for you! :0)
Praying for you and Greg, Heather!! This is a great way to find prayer warriors! What an example of faith you can be to your families! If you aren't finding you feel comfortable with your church family, maybe you can become that person you need others to be for you. Ask the church staff if there is a prayer request list that you can pray for each week. Are you guys involved in any small groups at church? If not, get plugged into one. You might find you suddenly have a whole new group of prayer partners!
I have been and will continue praying for you guys! You can count on that!
Heather this is a great post! For starters I think its great to ask your blog friends to pray for you. Its amazing how much support a group of people can be for you when you have never even met them. The people I talk to on here have helped me through some of my hardest days and have been there just because.
Thanks for the specific prayer request. I have been praying for you, but now have something even more specific to pray about.
Hugs!
Definitely praying for you, prayer is a powerful thing!
First of all good for you. Prayer is the strongest most amazing gift someone can give you and I don't blame you at all for wanting the most prayers possible.
I promise to pray for you and for your adoption process and future family.
My nana is the most devote praying women I've ever met in my life. She has a list (people she knows all the way to strangers) and she has friends that share her list and she shares theirs and they all pray atleast once a day for those people until someone tells them to stop. I will ask her to pray for you both also. I mean it when I say I will pray for you guys.
Please add in a few prayers for our unborn little baby boy I'm carrying right now also if you don't mind. I worry so much about him and want him to be safe and healthy and alive and in our future.
just said one :) you guys are awesome. Where two or more are gathered, HE IS THERE.
Hi Heather..I'm praying for...just said one aloud. Too bad you're in anxiety land with me....yuck...let's get out of this joint, b/c as God's children, we dont need to have anxiety. He tells us not to be afraid or discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8). I've also heard that Kenneth Copeland ministries (availabe on kcm.org) has prayer teams available on call 24 hours a day. You could also try that too.
Sign me up! I will pray for you! I really will. I know how much help prayer is. I cant tell you how much it meant to me when my Grandma said they had told some of their friends in Florida about our IF and how the whole church was praying. I feel so blessed to know that there are people across the country who care enough to say a prayer for me. I am praying Heather.
I know it is so hard to find inspiration.. I have been receiving a small magazine for months called "Guideposts". Its like a Christian "Readers Digest". It has amazing stories of encouragement and blessings. The favorite little item every month is "His Mysterious Ways". You can read so much of it Online and it is well worth your time

They also have a prayer request website OurPrayer.org You can read about it on the above website or just go to here. You can get prayer warriors from all over the world!
Love you and hope this helps
I know it's so easy to say, "we'll keep you in our prayers" and they we really don't do it. After reading your blog I wrote down your names and I'll make sure to pray that everything works out for you and that God would lead you in every decision you make. Thanks for this blog, it really made me think:)
Hey! I just happened upon your blog and wanted to tell you I just sent up a prayer for you and your husband. My husband and I were in your shoes a few years ago and ended up adopting as well! Our little Crista is pure joy and the BEST thing that could've happened to us. We joke that there's no way we could've produced a little one half a perfect as she is! Praying for the same for you! God bless!
Melinda

Hey Heather, I am so glad that we have this blog world to turn to for prayer! I have been praying for you and I will start to specifically pray for you and Greg and your specific requests. This journey is so hard and it is so nice to have all these women who know what it feels like to go through infertility praying and encouraging us! Love you!!
I tried to send the adoption info to you but keep getting the info sent back just want to check your email to see if I have it correct
ange8443@aol.com
Let me know and Ill send it your way!
Though you haven't met us blog friends...we are still here for you and will definitely be praying for you!! Isn't it wonderful that though we have never met we are connected not only through our posts and emotions, but through our Heavenly Father?? I stand along side you in this journey friend!
Your last post was also so wonderful to hear...I watched that movie several years ago...I think when I first started trying to concieve and I remember feeling so sad for the couple in the story...not realizing that would soon be me! I may have to check that out again!
Don't worry. My mom always says that worry is one of the devil's tools. I don't know if she's right or not, but it does always feel better to get rid of worry - as hard as it is to let go of. I (really) just said a prayer for you and Greg that you may find the adoption agency that is right for you, peace in your hearts, and strength in one another.
I have said a prayer for you and Greg and I will continue to pray for you...REALLY! I hope all your dreams come true!
Just dropping back by to say I've been praying for you daily, and noticed that Voila! You've got your prayer team! Isn't God good?!
I will be praying for you.
I loved reading your blog today. It has been so much fun making new friends through the blog world. This is my fourth month to have a blog. I am amazed at all the unique and fun sites.
I am posting about our recent Disney trip and have a couple more posts about our visit with the "Mouse" ....
then I will have more than a few posts about a new "grandson" arriving in just a couple of weeks... a baby they have longed for so long....
I just found your blog this week and wanted to let you know that I will pray for you and your husband. We walked this road as well and I remember longing for people to pray for us as well when we moved from IF to adoption. It can be very overwhelming and just knowing where to start is a huge thing in itself. God knows your heart and He will guide you as you seek Him....wether you have 300 people praying or just you and your husband and this amazing network of bloggers. I'm excited about this process for you and look forward to reading more of your posts and following your journey.
I will be praying for you. :) REALLY praying. ;)
