Faith you are 5 months old! ( Ohmigoodness can somebody please slow down time!)
You weigh 15.9 lbs
And are 25 inches tall
At your last doctor appt you got the rest of your 4 months shots and you screamed most of the time. I know this seems crazy buts its almost like you remember every time we get to the doctor that you get shots! I know that is insane but the second you see the nurse you start to cry! Breaking your mama's heart!
This month you started eating solids! You've tried avocados, bananas, pears, apples, green beans, yams, and sweet potatoes! Mommy made all your baby food and feels pretty darn proud! You seem to love everything except green beans. Mommy has a feeling you won't be liking the peas to much either. You are doing a wonderful job with solids and were most definitely ready for them. You like trying to feed yourself so mommy gives you your own spoon and we usually make a nice big mess but I am sure we will both get better at meal time :)
You wear size 2 diapers and are almost fully out of your 3 month clothes. Carter's clothes tend to be pretty tight on you but anything from Target usually runs a little bigger. It makes Mommy sad every time she packs away more clothes you have outgrown but I am so proud of you baby girl!
This month you discovered that you can move! You are schooching all over the place and we just can't believe it! You schooch your little self all around and it is definitely time to baby proof everything. Just recently you started getting on your knees but you haven't quite figured out exactly how to crawl yet. Schooching still seems to be your method of choice when it comes to movement.
You are so full of laughter and smiles. It is the sweetest sound to hear your little giggle. Daddy seems to be the best at getting laughter out of you. He is so silly and so in love with you its wonderful how you just stare into his eyes and adore him! He is always doing silly things to make you laugh! Rather making silly sounds or singing silly songs you think he is just the bees knees!
Sleep this month was rough. It seemed you love being swaddled but suddenly you could either roll over and then not get yourself onto your back again or you were constantly breaking out of the swaddle. So Mommy and Daddy decided it was time to retire the swaddle and that didn't go to well either. Every time you rolled over you woke up screaming, things are slowly getting better but you still haven't quite figured out that you can indeed sleep on your stomach if and when you roll over in the middle of the night. You wake around 2 times a night and hopefully that will just keep getting better.
You did go through a few weeks where you would not nap. No matter how or what you just wouldn't fall asleep! Thankfully this past week has been much better and mommy got her sanity back!
This month was very special for our family as we were able to go back to the place you all began! Well not exactly but where our thoughts for you all began! Mommy and Daddy spoke at the adoption seminar that we went to just 6 months ago! You were a little ham as usual and charmed the socks off everyone. It was completely full circle for mommy and daddy and such a wonderful day. You also attended mommy's college graduation this month and slept through practically the whole thing!

She's on the move! I love seeing the outakes of the montly photo shoots...it shows their little personality! Just wait, pretty soon she will be climbing off of the chair!
Wow, she is so so precious!
How cute! I cant believe how fast they grow. Good job making the baby food. I think that jarred stuff is junk. I wouldnt want to start my baby out on all those preservatives. Love the pictures!
she's getting so big so fast!!! She is just so adorable!
I can't believe she is 5 months already! i love how she wants to play/eat the paper this month!
She has got to be one of the most adorable little girls I've ever seen. That smile in that first picture. OMG, Just made me smile from ear to ear. I love reading the milestones, its nice to see what other babies a little older than Cooper are doing so we really know what to sort of expect.
I'm glad she's doing good..
OMG! She is the cutest ever! Can't believe she is 5 months old. How exciting that you were able to return to speak at the seminar. We have loved doing that.
