Miserable

Honestly there is no other way to put this past week except miserable.

It all started Monday. Plain and simple it was Monday! I had the Monday blues, we were back in Austin alone, Hubby was back to work and I just wasn't looking forward to Monday!

All day long Faith was so crabby and whiny and I did know she was teething so we dealt with it and went on. But Monday night ( technically Tuesday morning) around 1AM she woke up screaming. She was on fire and  had a temp slightly over 104. Way too high for teething!

So I woke my hubby and ran to Walmart to get meds. I get there in the check out line and I left my credit card at home and had only $2.00 cash! So I had to go all the way back home and the back to Walmart. We gave Faith some meds and I stayed up with her til about 5am when she went back to bed.

Then Tuesday came and because of going to bed at 5AM she didn't wake til 11AM which threw off our whole day but I know she needed some sleep. Yet she still wasn't feeling great no fever, but still teething and miserable though so all in all it just wasn't a good day. And she was of course awake all night Tuesday night.

Wednesday was much of the same. Then tack on some little annoyances like a broken dryer, Faith's play kitchen not have screw holes so I couldn't put it together and stuff like that.

Come Thursday Faith woke up with a nasty rash all over her body I literally thought she had the measles! I immediately called the doctor and thankfully they got us in. I wasn't to happy  that this would be the first time we were even meeting the doctor because he would "know" Faith at all but thankfully he was awesome. I couldn't have been happier with the doctor. He really took his time with us and was incredibly senstive to my mood ( which wasn't good!)

Turns out Faith had a nasty virus and pretty bad ear infection.

The rest of Thursday was a blur of tears and pain for both Mommy and Faith. The whole week naps were non existent. Since we had to stay home I took out these balls I had bought a while back ( like 100's of them like a ball pit) to play with and Faith was so cute and finally smiling and enjoying herself! So I run to get my camera and its broken! It won't auto focus! It was just another crappy addition to my week.

Friday, Faith was finally feeling much better rash and fever gone so we were able to get out and about a little and while you could tell she still wasn't fully feeling better it was a lot better than the previous days. She even got in a 40 minute nap which was the first all week!

Thank God for the weekend and for my amazing husband. He literally just took over caring for Faith this weekend. Saturday she was finally back to herself so her and Daddy enjoyed about 6 hours outdoors at the play ground and just exploring while I did nothing. I slept, I read some blogs, watched TV and did absolutely nothing productive but I was so thankful to just have some time to do nothing after such a rough week.

Then today Hubby did the same. Since it was so cold out ( close to freezing literally!) they didn't get to spend as much time outside but I got to run some errands baby free and go to the camera shop to have the check out my camera. Bad news I needed a  new lens  but good news was that the camera worked it was simply the lens that wasn't worker which is a much cheaper fix!

So I'm going into the week pretty refreshed. The new semester of MOPS starts tomorrow and we actually have some plans this week ( Storytime Tuesday, Free Gymboree Class Wednesday and Moms Night Out with my Mom group on Thursday) and we are very hopeful for a great week full of great things!

I thank God every day for my husband. For the amazing man and father that he is. He truly is my rock and I couldn't feel more blessed to  have him by my side in this crazy journey called parenthood.

Ah man! Talk about a crazy week!

I'm glad Faith is doing better. Bummer about the camera. Hopefully it won't be too terribly expensive.

I've come to the realization how do single Moms do it? I have no clue. They are truly a special breed.

Here's to a new week!

What a week! I a sorry little Faith was feeling so yucky. Sounds like Fifths desease or Rosiolla. C had Rosiolla. He had the same exact symptoms except minus the screaming he was just very lethargic and sad. About 2 days after the fever broke he came up with the rash all over his trunk. Its so weird. Take heart. They all get those little viruses. The only reason we dont get sick is because we already had it as a kid. ((hugs))

Yikes! What an awful week! So glad you are into a better week now:). I dread the day Jax gets sick. Hubby and I just recovered from a NASTY stomach bug and thank goodness Jax didn't get it. He can be a bit dramatic, to say the least, so I know it won't be fun...lol! Hope this week continues to go MUCH better for you all!
