August 13th 2011 { Part 1 }

The Hubs and I decided for our wedding anniversary that we wanted to do something fun. Instead of some fancy schmancy dinner we decided we would go to Knotts Berry Farm for the day child free and just enjoy some time together! So Friday night we took Faith to my moms to spend the night with Grandma and then Saturday morning we woke up ready to head out to Knotts.

We were enjoying a great day when we noticed Hubby's phone ringing with an unknown number. Jokingly I said " what if its the lawyer?" We laughed went on the rollar coaster and then checked my phone and what do you know the lawyer was trying to reach us so we knew something was up. 

She called telling us of a situation of a expenctant mother who was possibly in labor and had chosen us as her second choice family. After sharing the details of the situation with us we told her it sounded good and we were in should the first chosen family not work out. She also told us that we were the #1 choice until the very last profile was of a family who had no children so the expectant mother decided to choose them instead.

Well about an hour later our lawyer called and said " Your in! First choice family declined and I called the expectant mother and she said definitley you guys! So we don't know exactly whats going on right now the hospital sent her home as it was false labor but she said she is still contracting a lot so stand by."

Then a little bit before 5:00pm we got a text from our lawyer saying they had admitted her and she was third in line for a c-section! Holy moly we started the day at Knotts Berry Farm and would be ending the day with a new baby! We immediatley left Knotts and headed straight to the hospital!
